BU, BC Bring Rivalry to Frozen Fenway

Just when hockey fans thought it was all over. The hometown Boston Bruins had defeated the Philadelphia Flyers 2-1 in overtime to take the crown in the 2010 Winter Classic on New Years Day. Then NCAA hockey did something just as great. They gave fans Duke and UNC. Well, at least the college hockey version of it.
Duke and UNC have been college basketball rivals for as long as most people can remember and are separated by just eight miles on Tobacco Road. Boston College and Boston University are just down Commonwealth Ave, but hockey is where their hearts lie.
In a rematch of last years national championship game, BU once again got the best of BC in front of the beloved Green Monster and in front of over 38,000 screaming fans and took the game 3-2. The story was not so much the game itself, however, but instead where it was being played: an iced over Fenway.
