Okay, so I’m still pissed that Youk got beat out by freaking Nick Swisher for the All-Star team. I mean, nothings worse than getting beat out by a Yankee, but this is just wrong. Youk is the most consistent player the Sox have this season. And stats don’t lie. Let’s recap:

The only thing Swisher has on Youk is .05 more of a batting average. Youk is also top 10 in the league in three of those categories (top 5 for two) and Swisher doesn’t even break the ten in any. UGH what were people thinking? Just look at this picture and it’s obvious who even just looks more like an All-Star. Swisher’s asking for something other than an All-Star vote. (I won’t say it, but just use your imagination.)

Ok, rant over. At least this way Youk won’t end up the 25th hurt player on the Sox roster. Our team will get a break and recover, while the Yankees will all pull muscles and start sucking (more).
